Here is a great video Claudine Hellmuth did for CHA this past summer with the sticky back canvas. Just to give you some ideas what to do with this very different addition into a kit-our kit, of course! We try to add things you might not buy yourself or might not know about-this way you not only try something new, but also learn how to use it! Can’t wait to see what everyone creates with this cool product! If you haven’t seen it yet, Erin created an amazing card with flowers using the sticky back canvas and the fabric.

In the world of scrapbooking, we can all find inspiration in so many things in our lives. We can find inspiration from art, from our homes, nature, online galleries, scrapbooking communities and even through challenge sites that are out there for all of us. One place we can also find inspiration is through words. When I have exhausted all of my options and still can’t seem to get motivated to scrap something I start looking through qoute sites, or try to look for words that may inspire me as well. Today, I thought I would share with you some of my favorite sites to go to for great quotes, and also some great books that you can find inspiration in words as well.
The following sites will bring great inspiration to you….I will try to give a little bit of information in the site as well.
The Quote Garden: This is a site which has been online since 1998. It has various quotes available to it’s users. Quotes can range from Holidays to age, to smiles, to nurses. The options are endless! The site states what their quotes are about quite nicely, “inspirational, funny, thought-provoking, motivational, famous, literary.” One thing I really like about their site is they give you a “quote of the day” each and every day. You can find their site here: The Quote Garden
Another site I love to use is The Quote Geek. This site is nice because it offers quotes from literature, movies, television, personalities, bumper stickers, laws, etc. If you have a specific topic you are looking up, let’s say “LOVE”, it will bring up the categories this falls into and it will also give a ton of quotes to work with as well. For example, one quote that comes up with the search “love” is: “Where love reigns the impossible may be attained.” – Indian Proverb. You can find this site at: The Quote Geek
Some other good sources for quote sites are: Brainy Quote, Wisdom Quotes, and Quote Land.
If you like to use biblical quotes in your pages, some links to good sites for that are the following: Poem of Quotes, All Great Quotes, and my personal favorite The Bible Gateway.
Books are a great way to get quotes and words that will inspire as well. Some of my personal favorites that I turn to for inspiration are the books from Autumn Leaves series, the “Quote, Unquote ” books.
“A Play On Words” from Scrapbook.com, which is a downloadable book (e-book)
A few other books that I have which I love are “Best Quotations for All Occasions” by Lewis Henry and “The Daily Book of Positive Quotations” by Linda Picone. Of course, you can also find your own options for quote books by going to a bookstore, library or even online.
Words can be fun, inspiring and can really get you going with a photo or layout that you are just can’t seem to finish or even begin. Finally, I leave you with a quote that I thought refers to scrappers quite nicely:
I could keep on scrappin’
or I could go to bed,
but then what would I do
with all these layouts in my head?

Happy New Year everyone! I was glad to ring in 2010 and with this new year, instead of making a new year “resolution” layout, I just decided to say what goals I set for myself this year, because for me I am more apt to keep goals going then resolutions.
For my challenge to you today, I would love to see layouts that incorporate goals or even resolutions and as a bonus, include some paint on the layout. With my layout I went ahead and used my Shimmerz Spritz.
Here are some close ups and also the layout itself.

Can’t wait your creations!!!
Be sure to upload all layouts into the gallery, under I’ll Accept Your Challenge, as well as linking them to this challenge thread. You will be entered into our monthly RAK drawing for each challenge you complete!
