I can’t believe we have only 5 days until our first kit goes on sale on our website! I am beyond excited! One of our talented designers, Danielle Calhoun (who was featured in the BasicGrey newsletter last month) created our first official DT layout. Check it out! I just love it! Tomorrow the gals are getting together to pack our first kit and add-ons into bags so that they’re ready to be shipped. The kits are AMAZING (if I don’t say so myself!) LOL ~ Diane

As most of us, I’ve had a crazy week. Trying to cram a lot in before my husband departs for France on business (poor guy)and me and the kids head to New Orleans to spend some time with the grandparents, not to mention last minute happenings for the kits-Yeah!. I can’t keep my grubby little hands off the goods. Must fondle it…one more time…I’m also finishing up the books for our local MOMS Club in which I am treasurer. I think of that episode of Jimmy Neutron when he cloned himself (didn’t turn out well) but some days I think it may be worth the risk. Instead of doing my chores, I’d prefer Mr. Nick Rhodes rubbing my feet and feeding me white chocolate truffle toffee cheesecake (not a real flavor but damn, it sounds good. Have a great weekend.

We are…

Most of us started scrapbooking several years ago and over time have seen lots of changes in style, design elements and concept. Now when we scrapbook, we are not only creating a legacy for our children and families but we are creating art as well. So we want to know…have you changed with the times?

Let’s see it, where did you start and where are you now???

The challenge is to post your very first layout and your most recent layout (we’ll save projects for another time). Are you ready??

There will be no laughing, no one should be embarassed, just think, there are millions of people who will not even step up to the plate, or should I say “page”. So many say, “oh, I’m not that crafty”.
My response to that, You don’t have to be, and just remember, we all have to start somewhere.

So let’s see it…

Link us up to your gallery or blog and post your First and Most Recent LO’s. Be sure you say it’s for the “scrap for a cure LO Challenge”. We will give you until the 29th to submit your LO’s.

Oh yeah, and in case you are wondering, there is a small RAK involved.

Can’t wait to see you stuff…

Here are some of ours….

Good morning. Yes I’m up way earlier than usual but have much to share this morning and I guess my brain couldn’t wait. Already on the phone with Rouge De Garance this morning (hence the 9 hour difference)and glad that 3 years of high school and 2 years of college French aren’t totally wasted. Too bad I can only remember how to ask to go to the bathroom.

Many of you have asked us to elaborate more on our charity contribution and here at Scrap for a Cure, we are all about obliging our customers. Every quarter we will choose a charity and 5% of our entire proceeds will be donated to that charity. Let me reiterate. Not just from one kit purchase, but any and all items purchased on our website are included in the 5% donation. Our chosen charity for the months of July-September is St. Jude’s Children’s hospital. If you have seen the commercials, you know why we had to choose to help these children. I can’t imagine, and would never want to for that matter, what these amazing children and families are put through in their quest to fight childhood cancers. We are so excited to be able to contribute, if just in a little way, to those who are in need. Here is the link we will carry over to our website once we are live (hopefully by July 1st). Thanks so much for all your support thus far and we look forward to putting our kits in your hot little hands soon!
