Espresso: the Foundation of Elegant Coffee

Basic coffee is fairly simple. Grind up some roasted coffee beans, drip some boiling water through them and if it is done correctly, produce a nice cup of coffee. This is the same method used since the earliest coffee beverage was made to the classic Aladdin mugs of the 1970s to the expensive and hip drinks served in coffee ships these days. But espresso drinks take things a bit further.

Espresso is strong coffee that is produced by using pressure when making the liquid coffee. Once the espresso is made, it is mixed to make a variety of drinks. Cappuccino is one of the most common. It uses milk and espresso to create a foamy coffee beverage that is popular worldwide. Another favorite is Caffe Mocha. This is what it sounds like, espresso blended with chocolate in either syrup or powder form. To top it off, a generous portion of whipped cream is added. Caffe Mocha is a great desert drink as it is quite sweet due to the chocolate added.

The Excalibur 3900 Dehydrator

The Excalibur 3900 Dehydrator takes dehydrating to a different level. It has 9 15 square feet trays, so there’s a lot of room for all different kinds of food. The built in electric fan allows the air to circulate evenly throughout the dehydrator so there’s even drying all around. The fan is also situated in the back, which is great since no food or drippings fall into it if it were in the bottom like most dehydrators. This is also the reason why there’s even drying.

The Excalibur 3900 Dehydrator even has a timer that allows you to set it, leave it, and come back to dried food so that you can add another batch. Getting one of these machines can solve the problem of healthy snacks. You can choose what to dehydrate, which means you can choose to buy organic produce and turn them into healthy snacks that still have all the nutrients.

The Best Deep Fryer for Donuts

As I prepped my donuts for frying my old deep fryer stopped working. I thought to myself if I had bought the best deep fryer instead of the cheap ten dollar model I wouldn’t have run into this problem. And so I throughly researched the models and types available. I do not need a turkey deep fryer, they are just too big. I do not need an infrared fryer, those are for meant not donuts. I needed a 4-5 quart table top deep fryer. In store buying has always been hit or miss for me because I can not read up and look at other people’s reviews. I searched craigslist.org as well and found nothing of any use there. Then I searched ebay.com and that was just as useless. Then I tried amazon and found many useful and not significantly expensive models in my price range. I found the best deep fryer and can now finish my donuts.

My Favorite New Kitchen Gadget!

I have heard for years and years that if I really wanted to get something top of the line for my kitchen, I should get a Cuisinart food processor. I have never even owned a food processor before, so this was a magical upgrade to my kitchen. I have been chopping up tomatoes for salsa and even just for toppings for years. Now that I have this Cuisinart product, all of that seems so stone age to me. I can just cut something once or twice and stick it in the top of the machine. Then once it is inside the food processor, presto! I have salsa, or chopped up carrots and celery for stew, or whatever I need! It really makes life very easy, and I am thankful for all of the reviews I read and testimonials from people who already owned them. Otherwise, I would still be spending hours a week chopping up onions!

The Holiday Season

Winter months vacation is usually a pleasurable occasion to me. As always, my aunties as well as cousins would be gathering within my grans’ place beside our house, back from the place they’re presently living, to enjoy the holiday season together. It isn’t uncommon to find my mum and all four aunties in the kitchen area, talking excitedly on the subject of a new recipe or even the best kitchen knives one of them had just picked up. The children will likely be crowding together in the lounge, surrounding a new plaything or perhaps device of the season. A year ago a cousin introduced her brand new Playstation portable to the jealousy of everyone. I figured it had been quite nice of her to let all of us try playing it. Adult men didn’t appear to experience a part of all these household activities, as they need to work. If you ask me, they are left out on the great times. Luckily, they will come home for the evening meal, which usually is known as a major affair for the day with lots of wonderful cooking.
